Spent the weekend at T82 and had a great time. Folks at Fredericksburg FBO, Hangar Hotel and Airport Diner were all terrific. Highly recommend the entire experience.

After hearing of the Hangar Hotel a year ago we've been looking for an excuse to visit, which just came with Oktoberfest and my lil girl having a 3-day weekend off school. We had very high expectations after all the research, and those were well surpassed by everyone and everything there!! From the planning/reservations to arrival to departure, the very kind and friendly folks at both the FBO and Hangar Hotel made us feel like we were home, and everything from the rental-car to the hotel to the diner was impeccable and outstanding! Our plane right outside the hotel door, looking at it while we had breakfast or sitting on the observation deck, while surrounded by music and memorabilia from the golden age of aviation, made us appreciate it even more. Then there was the town and folks in Fredericksburg, Oktoberfest, the vintage shops for blocks along Main Street, the many new friends that we made there who made us promise to return next year, and so on...Simply a fantastic experience!!

My wife and I flew in for a family weekend with our children and grandchild. We stayed at the Hangar Hotel and enjoyed it very much. Really nice place, clean, although the bed was a little hard. The Fredericksburg FBO is one of the better-equipped FBO's that I have used. The man on duty was very friendly and helpful, and the flight planning room had everything I needed. Very nice airport, and very well maintained.

2 July 2008 we stopped specifically to try the Hangar Hotel. Beverly in the FBO was very friendly renting us a car and providing local knowledge. The folks at the Hangar Hotel were likewise very friendly and helpful. We spent the day checking out Fredericksburg and the German food! The only complaint we had was the beds were too hard. Other than that, Fredericksburg and the Hangar Hotel should be on any pilot’s list of "must stops". These people show true Texas hospitality.

Nice FBO. Nice people. However, if you arrive after hours and need help, forget it. Don't count on the local taxi service, either. However, the folks at the Hangar Hotel on the field are very accommodating. The rest of Fredericksburg could take lessons from them in customer service.

Great bunch of people. Six of us arrived in a Cherokee 6X for the Memorial Day weekend. I called a few days ahead to reserve a car. Even though they didn't have anything to accommodate six people, they were more than happy to get me in touch with Enterprise. The FBO handled all the paperwork and everything went smooth. I had a misunderstanding about the amount of fuel I wanted, but they were great to work with and got everything squared away. The place was clean, the cookies were great and they couldn't have been a better host. We stayed at the Hanger Hotel and loved it. I just wish the diner next door had been open. I also wish the golf carts were available again to take to the golf course that is next door. Good job. I'll be recommending you guys to anyone who asks.

Flew in with family to go to Enchanted Rock. Beverly was very kind and helpful. All cars were rented and she suggested who to talk to at Enterprise for a car. A car was located and we had a wonderful day. Thanks Bev for all the help and cookies.

Fredericksburg FBO is a model for good service. Always friendly, quick line service, car-rental, reasonably-priced fuel and no up-charge for full service. Also, excellent flight-planning and crew-rest facilities. Highly recommended!

Busy uncontrolled airport with both a new, popular 50's style diner (called Airport Diner, 830-997-4999, www.Airportdiner.Com- it is spanking new and excellent detail) and a hangar-themed hotel (called Hangar Hotel) on field. FBO offered full serve fuel for the same price as the self-serve! FBO called a taxi and it arrived within 10-15 minutes. It was a $15 fare into town to sample the tourist town of Fredericksburg. Many interesting shops and pubs, etc. Strolling down the streets is a popular pastime. Did not eat at diner on the field but would in a heartbeat next time to save time and $ going to town. I would only go to town if spending the night and then enjoy the shops, galleries, pubs and wineries in Fredericksburg, nearby Luckenbach and the rest of Texas Hill Country.

Excellent airport facilities and FBO. My family flew in for stay at Main Street Bed & Breakfast. Had rental car ready for our arrival, which they had tracked on FlightAware. Free cookies, iced tea, and coffee at the counter were a nice touch. Had aircraft fuel and ready for departure the next day. Fuel price, whether self-serve or from fuel truck, same price. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Don't miss the Hangar Hotel and the Airport Diner on the field. Will definitely go back.

Flew into T82 to eat downtown at Navajo Grill. The airport is excellent, with nice runway, easy to get to SS fuel, and the Hanger Hotel and Diner right on ramp. Taxi services into downtown are easy and cheap, two very nice restaurants are the Navajo Grill, and the Hilltop Cafe--visit either and you will not be disappointed.
