We flew a Citation into X35 to visit friends and to fill up on the $2.76/gal Jet A fuel. At first the pumping system would not work. As I looked around the building for a phone # to call (NO numbers), a local pilot arrived and showed us a closed fuel valve on the side of the big tank that should have been open. We then managed to fuel up, but upon returning home there were not 1, but 2 horrendous Jet A fueling bills on my charge card. EACH charge was almost double what the correct amount for the ONE refueling should have been! And of course, there was NO paper in the receipt printing machine. This was a very UNpleasant fueling stop. I have an email into the manager and 'will call him Monday morning. I will follow up this post with the outcome of our discussion.

A few of my group stopped in for fuel on 5/14. I had checked AirNav for the fuel price and then I called to verify because there is a delay on updating fuel info. After fill up I got the receipt and noticed the price was higher then quoted on the phone. I called John Holms, airport manager, and explained what happened. John did say that the phone message should have been updated when they received emergency fuel that morning. Just received the check for the balance of the lower price. Thanks John for the reimbursement. Well appreciated. We will keep stopping there when we are in the area.
