Great and interesting airport--first time I taxied on such an incline. NOTE--Restaurant does NOT take credit cards. Almost had to work in the kitchen for a few hours to pay for breakfast (although they were actually kind enough to let me send them a check/cash in the mail after I got home). Don't see that kind of courtesy or trust much anymore.

What a great airport! Located out in the country, it is scenic and the folks are friendly. A highly regarded maintenance shop is on site; the self-serve 100LL fuel is available 24 hours and is reasonably priced; and there are two other BIG draws: a well-stocked pilot shop AND a great restaurant! The restaurant is presently open Thur-Sun, 7am-3pm. The pilot shop is a branch of Skygeeks.Com and what is really neat is that if you order something from skygeeks.Com, instead of paying for shipping you can choose "pick up at 44N" and your item will be waiting for you behind the counter of the pilot shop!

A great place for lunch! Very lovely waitresses and great service. There was no honey mustard available for the sweet potato fries and so Amanda made some especially for us. A must place to go.

Very interesting place. The FBO is the big red barn on the eastside of the runway. I swear there is not a flat spot of land on this airport. It would have been nice if the FBO had had somebody to chock the aircraft when we arrived. Unfortunately they closed early even though we called ahead and told them we were coming. Glad the parking brake held long enough to find some chocks.
