My generator quit over Santa Rosa and I flew the rest of the way in on battery power. A Bode mechanic isolated the problem quickly and found the corroded field terminal lug. Replaced it, and I was on my way to Page AZ in less than an hour.

Pretty nice airport. Helpful linemen. Tower easy to work with. Cannot figure out why 100LL is so expensive compared to the rest of the country. Check the Aviation Fuel link on this website and you'll know what I'm talking about.

Renee and Nicki (sp?) are top notch. Renee was extremely helpful with reserving a car and printing up options for kid friendly activities. Nicki was very accommodating to my family during our departure. Both ladies went above and beyond to make our quick Albuquerque trip fun and memorable. If needing a hotel room, AEG has room rate discounts with a few hotels around.

Stopped in 6/12/2009. Wanted to stay for the night. No transportation to any hotel. Their fuel price was the most that I paid in more than 3300 miles on this trip. $4.99 for self serve. Went to another airport.

Great airport and great service! Arrived late at night in January and were given a ride to hotel. In summer, my wife and I landed there on a very hot day and lineman greeted us at the airplane with two ice-cold bottles of water! Made our day! Will always arrange a stop there on flights between PA and AZ or CA!

Absolutely amazing customer service! We had a stopover in Albuquerque and decided to tie down at Bode for a few nights due to weather. We have a little 2 seat Grumman but were treated as if we had rolled up in a Citation. The staff is very friendly, accommodating, and professional. The folks at Bode helped to make this one of the most enjoyable stops on our cross country from Reno to Houston.

Flew into to refuel on April 24. Self-serve was not working but no sign indicating this. Finally was told by staff that it was inoperative. Staff was very friendly and charged same price as self serve. They need to flag the self-serve as inop. They could also carry more instrument charts. Overall, nice clean place.

We stopped in our N900NE Turbo Commander couple days ago and had great service, fuel price and friendly, helpful staff. Easy in and out, rather than ABQ Sunport, if the hours match your needs. And their hours are longer than many smaller-airport FBO facilities. Very nice accommodations for passengers, with very Southwesty deco, Internet access, etc.

Over approximately the last year or so I have been pursuing my airplane ratings with Bode Aviation. Unfortunately, I have found their customer service and the maintenance of their rental fleet to be poor. I experienced an almost 40% cancellation rate due to aircraft maintenance problems, and an overall lack of interest from the staff in working with me to help complete my training. If you have a choice, I recommend you go elsewhere.

We made a visit to NM on Sunday, March 1st for the day and parked and fueled with Bode Aero. The service was very good as we were met on arrival and offered a crew car. Very friendly staff and the fuel was as advertised at $4.24 per gallon for 100LL. The terminal was clean and comfortable with computerized weather and a visitor lounge area. I will continue to use Bode Aero in the future!

I flew there for lunch. What a pleasant surprise. Two line men who actually seemed liked they enjoyed their job! They guided me to park, actually used correct hand signals, greeted me at my door on exit, said "yes sir", "no sir", can I help you sir?” came and got me when the plane was fueled, and asked, "is there any thing else I can help you with Mr. Porter"? I felt like I had flown into "Million Air" or "Atlantic Aviation" without the outrageous gas prices or landing fees. Finally, an FBO with courteous line people. Well worth the stop. Oh yeah, Nikki and Renee inside are pleasant too.

After a recent stop at Double I'm sorry I've put it off for so long. Good fuel price, great and very friendly line service, and excellent food at Tio Bill's upstairs dining. Tower personnel were great too! I look forward to a return.

I made separate comments under the maint entry for Bode, but wanted to express my overall satisfaction with the non-maint piece as well. John Bode runs a first class FBO at Double Eagle. All the line guys are great (sorry forgot to grab their names). Katie and Renee do a fantastic job at the desk. A couple of helpful hints: 1) KAEG is now towered, could not find that on any approach plate or the kneeboard AOPA print out. But make sure you get their freq and the ARINC freq (if you want to talk to Bode on the radio) before flying into their space. 2) Bode certainly can help you with a rental car, but make sure you have called in advance and made sure all is prepared as you'd expect - don't take anything for granted. They will take care of you, but make sure to call ahead. 3) Self serve and full serve prices are the same - let them serve you, they do it well

Bode has a very helpful staff, but were not up to speed on the Air Boss program, but now they are. The mechanic filled the nose strut and would not charge us for the work. There is now a control tower at KAEG but it is not on the charts as yet; be sure to listen to the ATIS for the freq..

Overall, a decent FBO. I didn't find their services outstanding, or the personnel overly friendly, but they did what was asked. I had arranged a car and hotel. After landing the car was not brought to the plane until I asked for it, unlike other airports. On departing, the front desk staff did not notate where my plane was moved to and there was initial confusion as to where my aircraft was sitting. After finding it, it was promptly pulled out front. Like I said, overall good - not great - experience.

I arrived at Bode Aero unannounced on Saturday afternoon November 1 with a rough running engine on a flight from Tucson to our home in Canada. Stuart Miles looked after me immediately and I cannot speak highly enough of his courtesy and professionalism. He found the problem fixed it and the remainder of our trip was smooth. The Bode operation is first class and I highly recommend them.

I used this FBO for a quick turn and for the most part things went smoothly. Only problem was no one answered the AIRINC so I could give my fuel order and tell what other services I needed. Lots of kids behind the counter for some reason might have been the problem. Line Service fueled us in a timely manner and we were on our way.

We had planned just a fuel stop here, but were running behind schedule and decided to stay the night. So we dropped in, unannounced, about 5 PM Saturday. Bode took good care of us: parking, fuel (same price for SS and FS), rental car (Hertz keeps a few at the field for Bode to rent out) and reservations (they have a negotiated rate with Comfort Inns). Excellent service.

The line service crew does an exceptional job and is very helpful. The facilities and counter staff is better than average. If you do rent a car (from Hertz) call Bode for the reservation, the 1-800 guys at Hertz dropped the ball!

We flew into Bode at Double Eagle on March 6th and back on March 7th in our CJ1. First time to this airport, we usually go to Cutter at ABQ . Excellent service and avfuel saves us at least a $1.25/gal over Cutter.

My wife and I stopped by there in December 06 for a few weeks to visit relatives. The staff was very attentive and helpful in getting me fueled and tied down. The day before we left we stopped by to inspect the plane for snow and ice, which it had plenty of and wasn't going to melt any time soon. After a brief discussion with the airport owner, he offered to hangar (heated) my plane overnight for FREE. The next morning the ice was gone and they pulled the plane up for us right in front of Bode as we were paying. I can't say enough good things about these guys. I would/will absolutely stop by here again!

Calling in to confirm rent car for my passengers 30minutes out was told, yes its there. No one there to park us to I parked as close to the front as I could. Saw a nice girl cleaning the windows of the rent car. Gave a fuel order and went to the cafe located in there building. Breakfast was very good and very cheap $4.00 for a full meal. Line service took over an hour to fuel the airplane. There is no pilot lounge, so the only place to wait is in the lobby, where there is no way to rest as the lobby is very very noisy. Other than no pilot lounge the service was just ok.

After delivering an Angel Flight patient from Tucson, I experienced a mechanical problem that required an overnight stay and some shop time. I want to publicly thank John Bode and all of his employees for their kind hospitality. John kindly provided a rental car free of charge and got me a hotel reservation. Everyone was friendly and everything that they did to help me out was way above the call of duty. These guys are the best! Definitely stop in to refuel and relax at Bode--the facilities are first class and you will not be disappointed. I will definitely be back. A+++!

Stopped by Double Eagle on the way to the Cessna 195 fly-in. The staff was great and very accomodating. They got us a hotel room, a crew car and carefully put our airplane in their hangar. Stopped back for fuel and the way home to California for more fuel and lunch. I would recommend them to anyone flying by ABQ.

On 9-13-07, I had a tach generator fail on my C-310, and landed at AEG for maintenance. I met with JJ, the shop boss, who told me they had one on the shelf. After removal, the Parts man said it would not work since the one they had was for a 400 series, so they would have one overnighted in. JJ called the component shop and explained that the connection on both looked the same, and was told my old one must have been modified. Needless to say it worked. JJ went out of his way on this, since I was resigned to spending the night. Very good service and very friendly folks.

This is a great FBO. I agree with all the positive comments and would add that Sherrod, the young lineman, was incredible. Everything he did was efficient, professional and knowledgeable. He even resisted taking a tip, saying he was just doing his job. I've used Cutter before at ABQ and found them fine, but this FBO is a cut above the rest.

I went to Albuquerque for the weekend and decided to check out Bode's DA-20 Katana. The FBO was clean, well kept, and had a very friendly and competent staff. The flying was great, especially in the morning. Bode was a fantastic FBO and KAEG was by far the cleanest airport I've ever been to. Bode would be a great place to do flight training at.

I stopped at AEG for fuel on the way back to Los Angeles. We went to the self serve pump and a lineman drove over with the fuel truck and offered to fuel us for the same self serve price. It’s hard to find such great service anymore. I will definitely use this as a fuel stop again.

Arrived at Bode late on 6/6/07 in a howling 45 mph wind. Line service was right there to marshall me and get the airplane tied down. They did a quick turn fuel, however I decided to stay. Chace Mayhew personally took me to a local hotel. My thanks and hearty recommendation to John Bode, Chace Mayhew, and the crew at Bode.

I have flown in here numerous times since October 2006, and most recently, May 2007. The staff and linemen started recognizing and greeting me on the 2nd trip. Very accommodating. Hangared my airplane and plugged the oil sump heater in for me overnight. Fuel truck or self-serve island for 100LL. Great place to stop.

We have used Bode since West Mesa was sold. I was under whelmed at first. Lately (last 2 visits) the service has been good and of the quality I expect. We appreciate the quick turn when returning home to the west coast. Good attitudes. Much faster and easier stop than at Sunport. Wish the restaurant stayed open later in the afternoon.

When there were two FBO operations at AEG we would use West Mesa -- fuel prices were very good and hangar prices were good and staff was very attentive. We fly into AEG frequently, and we have noticed that since Bode bought out West Mesa, and that they are now the only FBO, the fuel prices are not near as competitive, hangar prices have greatly increased (from $10 to at least $25 a night), and overall service is not as good as it used to be. Last time (11-24-2006) the plane was not fueled as requested, and we had to wait for a truck when we were ready to leave. Some of the staff are very friendly, bit others are not 'attentive' to our needs. I miss the West Mesa prices and service.

I was in town a few months back for a brief visit and wanted to rent a plane to take family members for $100 hamburgers since it was my first visit as a pilot. I can't say enough good things about Bode and the courtesy they showed in making sure I was checked out and flying family members in short (but safe) order. They demonstrated real concern for my needs, and worked quickly within my time constraints. Top-notch service, from the instructor (Mike) to the front desk to the owner (who personally made sure all went well). Job well done.
