Appreciate AirNav's comment opportunities. Read the positive remarks and stopped there for the $3.44 fuel both out and back from SD to Indianapolis. Found as stated: newer clean building, and the self-service pump actually gives a receipt!

Flew to Mt Pleasant on 5 Sep for the Old Thresher's Reunion and decided to take advantage of Washington's less expensive fuel for the return trip to Omaha. The price was $3.64 and the facilities were first rate. Oh by the way, I saved 35 cents per gallon. This will be my SE Iowa fuel stop.

Had a great experience in Washington. We were given use of the courtesy car to drive our 4.5 year old and 3 year old to the nearest McDonalds. For those families traveling with small children, please note that the Washington McDonalds DOES have an indoor play area.

KAWG has the low fuel prices in Eastern Iowa. In addition, they are friendly and helpful, too. Tipton is the next best price generally, however they have one RWY and nobody is there most of the time.

This airport is what GA is all about. Friendly service, great fuel prices, clean facilities, and the honor system for food, drinks, and (believe it or not) sometimes even for fuel when the manager steps away. I make it a stop everytime I possibly can.

Great place to stop. Very nice modern small terminal, pilot friendly, loaner car, snooze room etc. Fuel price is still the best in the region. Used the loaner and drove in to town for lunch. Met one of the members of the Airport Board. Very friendly, said the board is committed to maintaining as low a fuel price as possible to support general aviation.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. This is the best fuel stop we've ever seen. Low fuel prices and a very nice and clean lounge with a computer and Internet.

Washington Airport is what you'd expect in a small airport and the perfect place to stop for fuel. The fuel was certainly cheap and Mike was thoughtful enough to call back prior to our departure with instructions on where he left the keys to the courtesy car. Downtown dining is only a couple mile drive, which makes AWG great for a lunch stop as well. Bottom line is that we'll certainly stop here again!

Great stop! Cheapest self-serve fuel for miles! We paid $3.73, and Des Moines was selling for $5.55 further down the road. Two intersecting runways make this an easy stop, no matter the winds. The terminal was clean, wireless Internet to check the email. The only thing I missed was a nice airport dog lying out in the grass. Great place!

We stopped here on the way to/from Oshkosh. Cheapest fuel in the immediate area with a nice self-service pump. Crop dusting crews use the place, confirming that this is the most economical place for them to fuel. Nice, clean, well-stocked pilot's lounge with a good flight planning computer and a printer. Didn't see any info about a courtesy car, and the crop dusters didn't know anything about one.

Excellent facility, new and modern. A delightful place to stop for great fuel prices and a break in a long flight. Not sure if the lobby is accessible 24 hrs, someone was there cleaning on the Sunday afternoon that we stopped.

Great place to stop. Very nice modern small terminal, pilot friendly, loaner car, snooze room etc. Fuel price is the best in the region. It was frigid when I arrived and I hangared for the week. Washington has some super restaurants within 5 minutes. Don't miss this jewel of an airport!

Stopped in on 1/19/07 to take advantage of the great fuel price. Was a Friday about 4:30pm. After fueling my plane wouldn't start, low battery. Called Mike and he was very pleasant and helpful. Showed up in less than 15 minutes. Used his truck to jump the plane and provided some friendly conversation. It kicked right over and I was off. NOT ONLY GREAT FUEL PRICES BUT GREAT PEOPLE....I will be back whenever I'm in the area.

Construction of ramp taking place along side the fuel farm but still plenty of room to turn around an aircraft of 50' wingspan or less.

I wish all airports were just like this one! I fueled here for 2.86 and at my next stop fuel was 3.99. Not only do they have great fuel prices, they also have a nice office--clean, computer with internet for flight planning, lounge for a nap, and even a nice display of model airplanes. I'm not sure what services this airport has but if your just stopping for fuel I don't think you can go wrong here!
