Happy with stopping at this FBO: They let me keep the crew car for the afternoon, and it was a nice comfortable newer SUV.

Arrived on 5/26, no one on the ramp...Figured out where to park, tied down and chocked with my own gear. Humped my bags to the terminal to pick up my rent car. Folks inside were nice enough...Same level of help when I left after a couple of days. My experience at other FBOs has been so good, maybe I just expect too much.

Self-serve fuel is at north side of the terminal ramp, not by the sign south of the terminal.

Tubreaux Aviation has gotten mostly settled into the old Terminal Building. I have used both the FBO and MX services for our Citation 550 and have been quite happy! The FBO is the main terminal in the middle of the field at taxiway D/E intersection (adjoins the restaurant) and the MX hangar is on Romeo. I scheduled the change of MLG tire on our Citation and I was impressed with the level of detail and quality control I saw (out of the ordinary for such a small operation - I think they must be trying to get a 135 cert, but either way, it shows best practices are being followed). On the FBO side, they were experienced with towing and they have a quiet all-electric GPU for running your A/C & engine starting. I don't think they have finished the interior decorating on the new terminal, but the walls have been painted, they have computers for use, and there are even apple/android chargers on one of the desks. Except for the short runway, there is no need to avoid DTN anymore!

Our experience this time to KDTN was not as good as in the spring. I offered to tie our plane down and wait for fuel. I was told they would tie down the plane and fuel it that day. The next morning it still sat where I parked, no tie-down, and had not been fueled. They did reserve us a vehicle and it was there on arrival. The Cloud 9 restaurant is still in the Terminal. We are not Casino people but wanted to experience one of the hotels. We checked the Margaritaville but it was near $200 a night and full. We chose the Horseshoe. Not quiet as expensive. Rooms were ok but the Casino reeked of smoke, food was fair and the public areas were very cold. Next trip we will stay at a chain hotel and look at landing at Minden or the main airport.

Tubreaux is in process of moving. Despite the FBO's being on opposite sides of the runway for time being we were able to fly in, load up the girlfriend and all her effects while getting a fuel truck to top us off and wheels up again in 30 minutes or less. Itís not perfect yet but I certainly canít complain. Looking forward to weekly trips to KDTN...And the SS 110 fuel price is good enough I fuel at KDTN rather than home.

Tubreaux is in the process of relocating over to the Terminal where S3 had been. S3 is no longer an FBO. My visit yesterday seemed Ok considering they are kind of half moved. Not really half moved but maybe 5% moved. No one to marshall planes in and out, fuel truck is around and I found the guy to get fuel. Minimal service, no tie down ropes and I had to chock my own plane after the fuel guy had been there. He was not that busy. No services otherwise obvious to pilots. No pilot briefing area visible. Two areas with self service fuel, but I think one of them is inop. I hope to return after they are up and running 100%, but for the next few weeks don't expect too much would be my suggestion. Cafe at the terminal does a good job. Going into the terminal is like time travel, when was the last time you saw a phone booth with a door that actually was being used as a phone booth? They have one with a pay phone. My college daughter wanted her photo standing in it!

Great operation. We came in our Mooney and service was excellent. Great bunch of guys. They got us a rental car and helped with hotel. Could not ask for anything else. Except free beer !!! Great fuel prices too.

Excellent service at Tubreaux Aviation with some of the cheapest Jet-A you will find in the country right now. Both Self-Serve and Full-Serve 100LL and Jet-A truck options available with brand new equipment and helpful staff. Tubreaux at DTN is a great option for visiting downtown Shreveport (only 5-10 min away) or for a quick fuel stop in the South. For our CJ4, Tubreaux's fuel price saved us more than $1000 over the national average to top off with Jet-A. They also have an active flight school with new aircraft, a Part 135 certificate, and a full service maintenance shop across the field. I highly recommend these guys to anyone heading to Shreveport!
