Have visited this nice little airport and done business here for years but the manager has taken away the courtesy car so now there is no practical way to get to town. Sad because there are some really nice restaurants and shopping in this town and not being able to get there takes this place off the list. Airport managers should realize that airplane visitors to small towns equal good potential business in their town. Even air ambulance and corporate pilots need to be able to get to town to eat.

Wanted to fly into Granby, CO for our stay in Grand Lake but there were no rental car Companies in Granby nor Kremmling. Had to fly into Leadville and have Enterprise bring a car from Silverthorne. 2+ hour drive from Leadville to Grand Lake. Almost as long as it took to fly to KLXV from Kansas City. After a visit to the ghost town KGNB I found a business card on a desk for a local car rental service. Call Janet Hickox at (970) 887-3908. She has SUV's and Sedan's for rent and will deliver to KGNG.
