Visited University Air Center for a football game, and had a minor transportation issue. Cheryl, (an HR specialist for UAC I believe), overheard the conversation and quickly took care of it. Later, when departing, we had excellent service from Bennie, and another lineman (I missed your name, sorry). Thanks for the help, all three of you!

As before, it's a pleasant experience coming to GNV due to the 24hr service. Facilities are clean and most amenities are available. Fine FBO.

I have been going into gainesville for 30 years and they have always had great service. UAC is one of the best FBO's around. Fuel and fees are fair. It is not Galaxy so if you like getting screwed you're out of luck at UAC. Other than having to step over a few gators to get to the desk it is fantastic. There will always be whiners especially the more expensive airplane owners.

In for the game and UAC did a great job handling our 182. We parked on the east ramp and they had a courtesy van ready and waiting upon shutdown to take us to the main building. After the game same thing they were ready and waiting. Well worth the $20 gameday handling fee. We took no fuel.

Why is UAC unable to maintain current fuel pricing on AirNav? Why doesn't UAC guarantee prices posted on AirNav like most other FBO's? Also, why doesn't UAC at least provide a sign showing fuel prices at the self-fueler? Why must we wait to see the receipt before learning the price of fuel? Pilots don't need surprises when buying fuel. I know I don't.

We arrived at UAC GNV Friday before a game. It was not busy. I told the line guy to top off the outboards on the way to the FBO. By the time I got there the truck was in front of our King Air. I was happy to see that because I had a sick pax that just wanted to go home as fast as possible. I heard over the radio in the FBO a call for a refueling that I correctly surmised was a local aircraft. Off went the fuel truck without refueling us first, even though we were way ahead of that call. When I questioned the desk attendant she stated they needed a form of payment prior to refueling. Poor excuse. Her attitude was not professional to boot. I would imagine she has never "not" been paid by a King Air customer. So 30 minutes later we had our fuel. Very disappointing as I've had good service in the past. I wish they had some competition there.

I have been to GNV on many occasions often doing animal rescue flights. The service had always been good on this particular day it was raining and a low overcast. Nothing was going on and I had dogs to unload and other dogs awaiting my arrival to load. All I wanted was a quick turnaround. The folks decided I needed to be parked in a tie down about 500 feet from the end of the canopy even though they knew I wanted a quick turnaround. The dumb excuse is "we have procedures". So I walked the 500 feet in the rain in both directions several times as a result of the procedures.

University Air Center at GNV is TOP-NOTCH. I am a Navy advanced-strike flight instructor (T-45C Goshawk), which keeps me "on the road." I've seen far too many FBOs to count. University Air Center is as good as they come. Service, knowledge, pricing, and availability are unparalleled. Do yourself a favor and visit UAC ASAP.

We arrived there on Monday evening (Jan 5th) from Homestead FL without a reservation, but with that said the extremely professional line tech (sorry for not getting your name) marshalled us in and greeted us as soon as the prop stopped turning. It didn't stop there, the facilities were great and the young lady behind the desk (again, sorry for not getting your name) was terrific and was more than accommodating for us and our aircraft, making sure that everything our aircraft needed for our 2 day stay would be taken care of. Prior to our departure the aircraft was out front per our request and everything was taken care of. All I had to do was file our flight plan and off we went. I am the General Manager of Homestead Executive Jet Center down here in South Florida, so I know the Biz and you can bet that I will tell everyone heading up that direction about University Air Center and what a great place it is. Five Stars!! See you next time!!

Although the service at this airport has never been "5 star" I felt obligated to comment after reading the ill-suited comment left prior. I visit often usually once a week or more. The staff is attentive, and service is more than competitive when compared to other single FBO airports. The outdoor grill is a great touch, and makes the airport a good lunch stop.

I was there an hour to get 14 gallons and almost had to pay for 22 gallons. I filled out a fuel order and then went to check the weather. When I returned the lady behind the desk (who seemed to be more interested in revealing her "treasure chest" than paying attention to what she was doing) gave me a receipt for 22.0 gallons. I headed out the door and as usual checked the tanks visually only to learn I hadn't been refueled. I went back in and explained the situation. The lady tried to call the lineman but didn't get a reply so off she went. Where, I don't know. After about 5 minutes I went back to stand by the plane. Then along came a character that reminded me of the skit that Red Skelton used to do of the two sea gull characters Gertrude and Heathcliff. I finally got it straight but it took way longer than it should. It was dangerous too. Had I not have checked my tanks visually I would have probably been surprised at some point down the road.

Flew in on Sept. 21st, and had a very pleasant experience. The facilities are extremely nice, and they're open 24 hours. Two new vans serve as courtesy cars and are available upon request. The staff is very attentive and well trained. N17386.

This was our third time visiting, and was a very pleasant experience. Our rental car was brought up to our (experimental) plane and the lineman helped us with the luggage. We'll be back. N484BD

Flew in on 7/26 around 1 in the afternoon and was greeted by a professional and helpful line staff. Although they seemed rather busy at the time, my plane was fueled quickly and I was on my way faster than I could have hoped for. Will stop by again next time I'm in the area.

Inexpensive fuel. It was actually 30 cents cheaper to self-serve. Only rental cars are Enterprise, so they are somewhat pricey for an FBO. When I fly in, they only had full size, so I paid $60 for the day. On the other hand, the overnight tie-down fee is only $5. The inside is clean and staffed 24 hours with friendly people.

Stopped by for lunch today. After calling on the unicom inquiring about a restaurant I received the response "there's a woman who cooks!" That was my calling. I was directed into the spot by a very friendly lineman. The desk staff were friendly and Debbie, the woman at the girl made a killer burger. In all, I had a very positive experience. Who knows, I just might have become a Gators fan today.

Stopped in a few days ago to make a quick pick up, in and out in less than 10 min. They wanted to charge me $5 for the 10 min that I was there. When asked to talk to the mgr he was not available. I then waited for my pick up and went back to the desk to see if the mgr was available then but he wasn't. I wasn't about to pay the user fee so I left and address where University Air could bill the plane. They weren't too happy with me. If we don't fight the small user fees now, they will continue to go up until it’s as bad as it is in Europe. For the record I arrived in a Piper Arrow and was there from shut down to start up about 18 min.

I fly in and out of GNV and use University Air Center on many occasions each year as my daughter goes to UF. I read with interest some of the negative comments. I can say that out of the dozens of times that I've visited, they have always been accommodating and professional. I do not always take on fuel, but it doesn't seem to matter as to the level of service. This is a Mooney, not a jet, so the comments that they only take care of the jetset are wrong. AND I wear an occasional LSU jacket!!!

Stopped overnight en route to KSRQ. Nice facilities. Was greeted warmly and they setup up a hotel for me. The Holiday Inn has a discount with UAC and offers free shuttle service. The accommodations are ok if you are looking for a simple overnight. Arrived back the next day, plane was pulled up front and topped off. No problems. I'll be back.

Unicom was answered and I was asked if I wanted the rental car pulled to the airplane, which was nice. I filled out the paper work for the 2 nights I would be there and left a up front pull order for 0600. Arriving back at the airport about 0615, airplane no where to be seen, asked the line guy to get it up front and I needed 50 gallons of 100LL.... NO ONE EVEN MOVED! I walked to the airplane which was a long way from the office, preflight, cleaned the inside etc, still no one showed up to pull it up. Walked back in. 3 line guys, in their office drinking coffee with not a care in the world! Like always if it's not a jet they want nothing to do with it. Here's a hint..... don't let them reserve a motel room along I-75, as from the airport to the motel its a long 45 minute drive and the traffic is horrible in Gainesville. Avoid this FBO at all costs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great friendly service! First time here...Linesman directed me to a parking spot, tied the aircraft down and offered a ride in from the ramp. Nice facility inside with Great personnel to take care of you. Did not need gas, paid $10 to park my Baron overnight on game day. Very reasonable...Can't wait to return. Thanks for the Hospitality!

We visited on July 7. No one there to park us; however, there were two men in a fuel truck that watched us, without moving. We must have parked in an okay place because no one asked us to move. Our rental car was there, but in the parking lot adjacent to the FBO's lot. When we returned, the woman at the service desk was much more interested in her phone call than in us. Mediocre service at best.

About the only medium size airport where 100LL people get treated equal. 100% satisfaction always. Other FBO's could learn from them.. They got my business. Always-friendly people..

Been there twice and the service got worst each visit. On weekends it appears there are only one desk person and one lineman, which as you can imagine is not a workable solution. Some poor soul was waiting at the gate to get to his airplane when I arrived and was still there when I left. Absolutely NO amenities including cold water offered here on weekends. From now on if I got the fuel, I'm going to fly to Cross City (CTY) for my JetA.

Despite the mixed comments here, I decided to give University a try, needing to go to GNV. Though nobody answered my radio call when I taxied in, the tie down I picked was deemed acceptable when I walked into the FBO, which was clean and modern. A very pleasant young lady behind the counter took my fuel order, which was filled overnight. I did get dinged for overnight parking, but in all fairness I only took on about 11 gallons of gas. The next morning, it took a few minutes to get a quart of oil, but it arrived just as I finished preflighting and I was on my way. The FBO offered to bill the oil to my credit card and fax me the receipt, to save me the walk back to the building. All in all, not the cheapest place to overnight, but clean, courteous, and pleasant.

I'm a regular customer, and there is no communication between the front desk and the line guys. We will call 20 min out requesting a quick turn, and when we arrive the line guys had no idea we were coming. Rental cars are never brought out to the airplane, we always have to go get them outselves. There have been times we have put a fuel order in, paid for it, and when we go to leave two hours later, we find out the plane has not been fueled. On busy game weekends its total chaos on the ramp. The line guys are nice enough, so I can't blame them, I think there is a lack of leadership from the management.
