Stopped for fuel in the dark 1/31... Sure would be nice to have a light near the self serve fuel area that corner of the ramp is a black hole.

Stopped in for the Cessna Mustang factory tour, as part of the Cardinal fly-in and found the tower very accommodating and friendly. We did not partake of any services.

I was in on the 14th. I've been in numerous times and always have a good experience. The new tower is open and the controllers are friendly.

Visited Independence for the Cessna Pilot's Association fly-in and the Cessna factory. The self-serve area is a bit crowded, but prices were lower than expected. It's been a long time since that happened. The tie-down facilities are very nice, and Cessna is building a control tower that it expects to be open by the last quarter of 2007. The Cessna 510 Mustang and all its piston aircraft are built here, so there is a fair amount of traffic.

VERY DISHONEST LINEMEN. I asked what the price of the fuel was and they said $3.21. When I went to pay it was $3.45. I would have purchased less fuel (I bought 85 gallons- a $20.40 difference) if I had known the price was this high. Other FBO's within 35 miles were $2.80 or less. I plan on talking to the manager. BUYER BEWARE!
