My grand daughter and I had to divert to IOB because of Wx, HZ&TS. The staff at KY Air was friendly and helpful. They let us use the courtesy car to go to lunch, and when it became obvious that VRF flight home was not going to happen, they again let us use the car at N/C to get to and from a local motel. (We put gas in it, though). Before leaving for the motel, Sid gave us his card with his cell # in case we needed anything after hours. When the weather looked like it may storm on site, the fellow (who had also offered to wash and wax my Skylane) put it into the hangar for the night. This was my granddaughter’s first flight in any aircraft. David, and the folks there helped a seemingly long stay to be more bearable for us. Thanks!

Dropped off some people today. Gas price $4.07 per gallon. Self serve pump easy to use. FBO office was open. Nice place.

Every time I have flown into IOB has been enjoyable thanks to prompt, courteous, and professional service. I plan on making it a frequent stop in the future.

Flew in to see the grand children for Thanksgiving, and was delighted to find such a great FBO/Terminal area. Bright and clean. As for the staff they were Great! They made this NEW Pilots trip one to remember we will be back..

We stopped in to fuel up on our way to 1A7. They were great, fuel was $3.75. When we landed, they asked us if we were going to need fuel, full or self serve. The airport is well maintained. Would recommend this to anyone in the area.

Stopped at Mount Sterling for a quick fuel stop. Was offered courtesy car in case I wanted to get a bite, but opted to gas and go. Run-up checks found right mag dead. Went back to FBO and mechanic was called and showed up shortly. Determined problem was correct. Boss called and showed up to determine all the options. Bottom Line Dan and his great mechanic Mike Miller had me fixed up and on the road in about 4 hours. Best part this was on a Sunday late afternoon and on into the evening before I was repaired and on my way. Great facilities and absolutely terrific service above and beyond any other norms.

This place is as great as advertised. I stopped there twice this weekend while en route from Chicago to North Carolina and got quick, enthusiastic service. Their gas prices are great and they have good weather planning and passenger facilities. They even cleaned the windshield on my plane! That's a first for me in 30 years of flying.

Let me tell you what! Dan really went out of his way to help us. It was a Saturday night and we had to abort take off, because of two bad plugs. We called the number on the door and his wife answered and then showed up and let us stay the night. The next day Dan got us all fixed up on a Sunday even for a very minimal charge. Hope to stop there again. This was 5/20&21/06. Thanks again Dan!

A very impressive place to stop for fuel and chatting. Dan made me feel like family and I can't say enough good things about their place.

Forced down here by weather on a roundabout trip from NH to WA in a 172. This was the best FBO on the trip, awesome people. The local yokels in the lobby knew the weather better than Flight Service.

This is the place to be when you need help. Everyone here did more than any ten other airports that I've ever stopped at. I had a small problem with my airplane and weather was getting bad. Dave (the manager) made sure the airplane got fixed, we had a motel for the night and a car to get around in. The maintenance guys did a great job finding the problem and fixing it. Because of weather we had to stay three days total but it was a nice stay almost like a vacation. No worries mate. Dave saw to it the we even got discounts for our motel. The FBO is small but one of the best places I've ever stoped. Each afternoon Dave cooked out burgers and hot dogs, no one went hungry at IOB. The staff at IOB makes you feel right at home. Our visit was back in May, sorry it's taking so long to get the word out on IOB. If you get the chance you should stop in and meet Dave and his great staff. This is the way GA should be everywhere.
