Perfectly fine airport and nice FBO--friendly, brought rental car planeside, etc. However, it should be made clearer that the self-serve fuel is wildly inconvenient and borderline dangerous at night. There were no lights until right at the pump (no taxiway lights, street lights, or anything of the sort), and it was pitch black. (If not already clear, the self-serve fuel is light years away from the rest of the airport, and requires a long taxi down a dark (and I mean dark) unlit, unsigned potholed stretch of closed runway to a point so far from everything else that I honestly could barely hear the Citation that was on its takeoff roll while I was pumping fuel.) If I had to do it again, I would pay the premium for full serve (and if that were the case, I would've gone to Sky Bright, which was cheaper). If you're considering LCI for a quick late night self-serve fuel stop, unless you're familiar with the airport, have really bright taxi lights, and have time to spare, forget about it.

Friendly FBO with self serve fuel

On October 11th, I flew out with a fellow pilot to check out the foliage and to try out the Laconia Airport. The scenery was beautiful flying next to the hills with views of the lake. We asked about breakfast on the field and were told that there happened to be a place on Airport property, but you needed a car to get to it (On other side of airport). The woman at Emerson offered her personal vehicle and directions to allow us to take in a breakfast. She could not have been more pleasant and helpful. I will surely be back. Oh.... The breakfast was great.

We stopped at Emerson again last month. We had been there before and they are great. Both times we parked in the new long term parking area. Bring your own tie down ropes. They have not installed rope yet. They allowed our ride to pick us up at the airplane. Nice clean facility.
