I had the pleasure of flying into Pickens County Airport today... What a beautiful facility.. We borrowed the courtesy car and intended on having it back within the agreed upon time... We had some direction issues and were quite late. I asked if I could pay for the extra time but was told that it was quite alright....By the way the price of JetA was a great price. This is a great airport...Thanks...

I flew into Pickens County after a good day of flying. The self-serve pump was having communications problems and was out of service. Trad brought out the fuel truck and filled my RV-9A at the self-service price! And that new terminal is beautiful! The fuel price was the lowest in the area and was along our route back toward Atlanta. This will be one of my regular stops when in South Carolina.

Stopped in after hours to take advantage of the low 100LL fuel. When I landed I found the self-serve was out of order. Since I needed fuel to get to my next destination I decided pay the $50.00 call out fee. Within 20 minutes the airport director and a line service person showed up to take care of me. Since the self serve was out and there was no way to know that they did not charge me the $50.00 call out and charged me the self serve price. Then the director, Skeets Cooper, showed off his new terminal building. Its is great to know that there is still a great attitude out there and its just not about the almighty dollars but interested in long term relationships and developing future business. I have put LQK on my map along with all my company planes and will stop whenever in the area. Great Job. Michael H Grossmann, Castle Aviation

Great new terminal building with great facilities and nice people. Here's the "but"; two weeks ago I was charged $98 a day for a Nissan Maxima from Enterprise. This past Saturday, Hertz charged me $105 for a small SUV for 1 day. Both car companies are off site and are now charging delivery fees to the airport. I may have to start flying to an airport with reasonable car rental charges.

Flew to Pickens just because I'd never been there before...I'm glad I did! They have a newly constructed stone and timber FBO with all the amenities, and exceptionally helpful staff at the counter. Trad, thanks for the courtesy car...Yanks was a great suggestion for a burger!

Flying with a friend into Pickens County last night to get fuel. Experienced two flat tires on landing and slid off the runway. The airport attendant, Trad and another fellow quickly came out and helped us get the aircraft into a hangar where repairs were made. Trad and his father stayed overtime into the evening to assist with the repairs. I was very impressed with their willingness to be of help in any way that they could. The service was OUTSTANDING! I would recommend this FBO to anyone flying over western South Carolina.

Stopped by Pickens Country yesterday en route from KCCO to KOFP and had a front nose wheel blowout. Trad and Skeeter were very accommodating to us, providing a spot for the plane to stay overnight. Great service. Highly recommend this airport and these folks to anyone passing through the area. --Warren, KOFP

Stopped in on July 4th and a staff member came out to assist us with a car and overnight stay. Great area, very nice airport, good fuel prices, all top notch. Made a stop there again on the return flight and will make it a regular stop when flying in that area.

I had an excellent stay at Pickens County. The FBO staff was very nice and helpful. They definitely went out of their way to help us on our trip from PA to MS. I will always give these folks my business when I'm in the area. Thanks a lot guys.

Flew into Pickens for the night on a long 850 mile XC from Carlisle, PA to Biloxi, MS last week. The managers, Ted and his assistant, Trad, were exceptionally helpful to our three-ship formation of Cessna’s (KEYSTONE FLIGHT out of Carlisle, PA.) They helped with the fuel, local area hotels, and even allowed us to keep the airport courtesy car overnight into town. The fuel prices were the best of the whole trip. I highly recommend this outstanding FBO to anyone flying in this direction. Ted and Trad do an excellent job! Thanks guys! MM

A great airport for getting to the mountains of North Carolina. Fuel, and fees much lower than the competition in Greenville, or Asheville. A nice airport, well-maintained, good FBO with lounge and computer, and competitive fuel prices. Rental car was easy to arrange, and was at the airport when we arrived. We will be back again.

From Paul Mannion on 28-May-2007
We stopped at Pickens in April 2007 for fuel and were treated great. The courtesy car was waiting for us, and the staff was exceptionally helpful. Even though it was a Sunday, and no mechanics on duty, the line service person was extremely helpful with a minor mechanical problem. Highly recommended.
