Had a flat nose tire upon landing. No maintenance services available on Sunday, but the airport ops fellow did his best to offer whatever help he could. Drove us over to the restaurant while we waited for a mechanic to be ferried over from our FBO (luckily not too far away). The restaurant was excellent- roomy, brightly lit, and good food at affordable prices.

Nice facility. Rick's food was very good, service very friendly but not efficient. BEWARE: fuel services at Orange County KMGJ were unavailable after 5 PM and the self-service did not work. When I called the number indicated for assistance on the self service machine I got a recorded message saying they were not available. Had to make a quick stop over to KSWF in a low fuel situation to get back home.

Flew into MGJ for breakfast at Rick's 12/14. Food was GREAT and so was service. 3 people, 3 BIG breakfasts for $30. Airport very well maintained and nice to fly into. Keep an eye out for SWF Departures (tune to SWF ATIS to get flow) as if they are departing Rwy 27, they are pointed right at you. Only issue, and this is quite a serious thing to me, is that I heard NO ONE use CTAF at all. Checked the freq in Comms many times (122.725) and had AOPA Airport Data, Current Sectional and A/FD on board. I know Clearance Delivery Freq was out today and dunno if that affects CTAF, but keep your head on a swivel. I called taxiing out, heard nothing, and after run-up, saw 1 on Final and 4 taxiing up A to Rwy 21 and 1 in pattern for 26. Never saw "RX" light up and checked xmit/receive on Ground with NY App and all worked fine on my end.

Flew into KMGJ today and stopped in Rick's cafe'. I wasn't too hungry so I had some sweet potato fries and coffee. Both were excellent! I'm fussy about coffee, this was goooood. I'll be back....

Flew in with the North East Flyers group on Saturday the 16th. Rick's Runway Cafe' was ready for us with tables set up for our group (17 total). Great service and very good food. Plenty of parking on the ramp and very good service from the airport staff. This place is worth the stop! The Bride and I took a taxi ride to visit the OCC Motorcycle retail store and showroom, $20 round trip.

Flew into Orange Co. With a 6-ship formation of Cessna 150's to join 6 others; great service by Orange Co. For fuel, parking and services. Rick's was a GREAT place to eat. Airport is in excellent condition - local pilots provide friendly advice - worth a journey or a stop. TWO THUMBS UP for Orange County.

Flew in today with about 10 other aircraft for lunch at Rick's Runway Cafe. Service was great. Plenty of parking out on the ramp for all the planes. Food was good too. The planes that needed fuel had no problems getting it and paying for it. Great destination.
