Was there for breakfast on Sat 5/24 with a few of us flying in for breakfast at the restaurant on the airport property. Plenty of parking on the ramp. Good Food and excellent service

Flew in with the North East Flyers group on Saturday the 16th. Rick's Runway Cafe' was ready for us with tables set up for our group (17 total). Great service and very good food. Plenty of parking on the ramp and very good service from the airport staff. This place is worth the stop! The Bride and I took a taxi ride to visit the OCC Motorcycle retail store and showroom, $20 round trip.

Flew into Orange Co. With a 6-ship formation of Cessna 150's to join 6 others; great service by Orange Co. For fuel, parking and services. Rick's was a GREAT place to eat. Airport is in excellent condition - local pilots provide friendly advice - worth a journey or a stop. TWO THUMBS UP for Orange County.

Flew to Orange County today, Jan. 19th '08, with a group of 12 Cessna 150's. Plenty of parking and great service from both the FBO and Rick's Runway Cafe. We will be back again.

Flew in today with about 10 other aircraft for lunch at Rick's Runway Cafe. Service was great. Plenty of parking out on the ramp for all the planes. Food was good too. The planes that needed fuel had no problems getting it and paying for it. Great destination.

"Rick Runway Cafe's was great!” is an understatement. It was a beautiful day this October 9th with a light breeze. Rick's café has large windows that were open which allowed for a very airy warm environment. The food was great; the people very friendly, and the background music was unbelievable. Every song had to do with flying. I have been to a lot of restaurants in my time; I have to say this place is number one. Two families drove in with small children. They were so excited to be able to look outside, and walk out the back door, which was open to see airplanes. It was just a joy to watch.

I was there for 3 days from Oct 6-9 and found the FBO and the restaurant staffed and pleasant. The self-service fuel pump worked just fine and the food/service at the restaurant was great.

From Bryan Weber on 18-Sep-2006
The self serve equipment is in a state of poor repair. I wasn't able to get the pump to work and the full service fueling wan't available.

Rick Runway Cafe's was great! The menu includes diner classics as well as a good selection of more interesting and innovative salads and sandwiches. We enjoyed the gourmet ingredients, efficient service, and newly renovated room with views of the planes outside.

No courtesy car here. If you have to take a cab to the Super 8 Motel 2 miles away it is $12.00 to get there and $12.00 to get back. It is cheaper to get a cab in NYC and the cabs are much cleaner.

Rick's Runway Cafe is excellent! The burgers are outstanding and the service is top notch. I'm trying to convince Rick (a very amiable guy) to hold a fly-in breakfast so more area aviators will get to know this gem. If you're looking for an excuse to fly someplace, Orange County Airport is excellent with self-service gas and now the ideal "hundred-dollar-burger" place.

Went to KMGJ today and had dinner at Rick's Runway Cafe. It's a very pleasant place that looks out into the runway environment. My buddy and I had Buffalo wings (6.95), I had a chicken ceasar salad (6.95), and my friend had a burger/fries(?). The food was fresh and tasty and the help was very friendly. I'll go back when I can.

We flew over to KMGJ today to check out the restaurant that we'd heard was re-opened last Thursday (4/27). Rick's Runway Cafe is a treat! It's in the old restaurant building right across from the self-serve avgas pumps. The large windows and light interior colors give the place a nice airy feel. The food is good. I had a special, a turkey, Monterey jack and bacon Panini served with fries ($6.95) and Pat had a tomato, basil and fresh mozzarella salad (also a special, also $6.95). The regular menu looked appetizing. Burgers, salads, sandwiches (someone said the Tandoori chicken is outstanding), soups. I enjoyed the pink lemonade -- free refills on fountain drinks. The check came to $18.81. Our server, Ashley, was perky, friendly and competent. You can park right in front of the restaurant (about on top of the old ORANGE ramp markings. So, this one is now on our lunch list (Rick says he'll be serving breakfast, too.) Recommended.

Tanked up on the way home. Quick and easy self service. Price was as advertised here on AirNav. Watch out for the huge taxi lights. I almost clobbered one of them.
