My wife and I were looking for somewhere to fly with a restaurant on the field. The dart hit Blue Ridge, VA (MTV). What a pleasant surprise. The airfield is in a beautiful setting, the airport and facilities are immaculate and the airport Manager, Jason Davis, went out of his way to make sure are every need was addressed. In addition, the fuel was cheaper that we are use to paying. The restaurant is in the same building as the FBO and has seating facing and right on the ramp (outdoor seating as well). The only problem was that they are closed on Monday (the day we happen to be there). We will definitely be going back and dragging some flying friends with us. There just aren't enough places like MTV to fly to and have lunch too.

Stopped into KMTV in my 172/G 4/10/08 based on favorable comments of excellent service, reasonable fuel prices, and friendly staff. All true! Airport manager Jason Davis and Business Manager Jennifer Garber are as genuinely nice, friendly and helpful souls as you'll find anywhere. Cafe staff was also friendly and helpful. This airport setting is beautiful! Doesn't get better than this. I'll try to get back.

On ferry flight back from CA back home to VA. Great, clean facilities, friendly staff. Nice little restaurant on the field - lots of locals eat there. Fuel prices reasonable and the service always quick and professional.

Jan 2008 I have stopped at MTV on many occasions and received exceptional service. The fuel price was the lowest anywhere on my route, so naturally I make it a point to top off there whenever I can.

Arrived late night from Kissimmee Florida, staff worked on Christmas Eve until 2 in the afternoon and fueled my plane before leaving. Excellent service, beautiful airport.

Stopped for fuel. The prop had just stopped when we were greeted by manager and fueled in no time. No hot food on Mondays but otherwise a gem of an airport with excellent service.

We arrived on a slow Monday for fuel and lunch to find out that the restaurant is closed on Mondays; however, Airport Manager Jason Davis made up for it with courteous and friendly customer service. He did everything possible to make us feel welcome and was very accommodating. He is a great representative of the Martinsville community.

I wish to add my comments about the service & facilities at Blue Ridge Airport. I was flying my WACO UPF-7 from Jacksonville, NC back to Wisconsin and chose to land at Blue Ridge for fuel. The old WACO has a habit of getting dirty spark plugs approx. Every 20-25 hrs. So prior to continuing across the Mts I elected to get my plugs cleaned at Blue Ridge. I wish to say the folks at Blue Ridge were most helpful & friendly. The community is very fortunate to have such an outstanding facility staffed with good people. Thanks again, I will certainly stop again if I am in the vicinity.

I'm based at the GA-unfriendly KROA; I try to always get my fuel at KMTV: great prices, friendly service, friendly conversation, and lots of good crosswind landing practice. If you are passing near, stop for the above good stuff

Fantastic place- my plane was fueled immediately, the fuel price was good, and my wife and I enjoyed a nice lunch at the on-field restaurant, watching the other planes land and depart. Customer service is obviously very important here, from our waitress (I wish I had gotten her name) to Jason Davis, the airport manager. This airport is worth going back to just for the people and the food, which was surprisingly good.

Visited MTV one Monday afternoon - hungry, but the cafe was closed and there was no way to get off the airport. Jason Davis, the airport mgr. Got access to the cafe's refrigerator and filled me and my co-pilot with tasty chicken salad sandwiches. Thanks and good service.

I visited Blue Ridge Airport in the last two months; one to do a pre-inspection on an airplane; the next visit to fly my new airplane home. Each time, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Jason Davis is one of the finest airport managers I've ever come across!!! He personally assisted with any need and it is clear that his customers are his highest priority. The atmosphere is pilot friendly and inviting, airport is maintained immaculately, and the Runway Cafe is a great place to eat or just hang out. Even the Dutch Inn Quality Hotel in Martinsville, which Jason recommended, caters to pilots, also. I'm looking forward to my next visit to Blue Ridge in a few months on the way to NY. Thanks, Jason!!!

Awesome Place to stop for any reason...Jason is one of the nicest people. He was very helpful when I showed up and forgot my wallet. He filled my thirsty warrior and let me call him back with my credit card when I got home. He even tried to feed me and let pay him back later. Doesn't get any better service than that. The airport is in excellent shape. The on the field restaurant is awesome. Fuel prices are great. Make it a stop anytime you are in the area. Thanks again Jason for you help. AAA+++

This is one great place to stop. Came in on one of the coldest days of the year and they placed me in a hangar for the day and plugged in my engine heaters. Great prices and outstanding service. Some of the big FBO's should learn from these guys.

I made a fuel stop at Blue Ridge on December 18, 2006. FBO staff was friendly and helpful. Fuel price was good... And I did not have to pump the gas... The FBO provided full service!! Great place. There is a restaurant on site and I will return with my wife for a weekend lunch soon.

If you are looking for a great place to have lunch on Sunday then fly here. The place is very clean and they have an all you can eat buffet of good home southern cooking. Very reasonable and friendly service.

MTV was my first stop en route to Birmingham, AL to deliver my friend's Piper Cherokee to its new owner. Fuel prices were the least expensive in this area. Jason, the airport manager, knows how to treat his customers well!! Other FBOs should follow his lead in delivering excellent customer services. Very nice FBO and the airport is well maintained.

I have made a few stops recently after being gone about 3 years. It has only become better. Great fuel price and great service. They fuel your plane while you have lunch and they put it on the ramp so you are ready to go. The Runway Cafe is great. If you are tired of being abused by people who do not care about customer service, you need to make a trip to MTV just to get a dose of old fashion service from Jason and the crew there that will remind you why you like to fly in the first place.

Stopped in for fuel using AirNav's routing info. Before leaving BGM, the GUARANTEED 100LL price was $3.99. Upon arrival, they had just filled the tanks and were now charging $4.15. I was very pleased when they refunded the difference and honored what was the guaranteed price still showing on AirNav. Very friendly and helpful. The restaurant had the best lemonade I've had in years, and the friendly staff made me a couple of grilled cheese sandwiches that were not on the menu. Highly recommended as a stop-in!

I flew a Navajo Chieftain into Martinsville Blue Ridge airport on the 26th of June and we already knew we were going to be a late arrival. A pilots concern along with the weather is can I get fuel and can my passengers get their transportation. Jason, the FBO operator was kind enough to stay late, assist with friendliness the 5 passengers I brought in, and provide the fuel I needed so I could get home. My hats off to the Martinsville, VA Blue Ridge airport and its management.

We were in White Plains, Manassas and Blue Ridge on June 27th. The best service we got that whole day was right here at Blue Ridge. We were planning on going home after Blue Ridge, however our passengers had different idea. The guys there at Blue Ridge went out of their way to help us out, even brought their phone out to us to talk to our scheduler (Cell Phones did not have the best coverage). Use these guys, they will not disappoint.

Only wish this airport was closer to home (we live in NH). We have never been more welcomed to a facility the way we were at Blue Ridge. 172 owners were treated as if we owned the Corcorde and like family at the same time. Jason - thanks for a memorable afternoon. Small airports could take a lesson from Blue Ridge!

Thanks to Jason and the friendly staff at Blue Ridge we were able to stay on schedule. Even though it was the Martinsville race weekend, and the staff was very busy, they kept us on schedule with speedy service. We appreciate the service and the excellent fuel prices! Thanks Again.

Martinsville is a great airport to fly in to. Great Service from Jason, Jessica, Nelson and Tommy. Everyone needs to look for Pat to get some of the best food in the Blue Ridge Mountain area. Thanks for the competitive fuel prices, Jason. For those of you who follow the NASCAR Scene, take a quick stroll over to the Martinsville Speedway for an easy tour and walk around the track. Enjoy the area folks!

A quiet airport with a superb runway and IFR approach. Nice airport Cafe with outdoor eating area, great fuel prices and great services even after hours. Just call the Assistant Airport Manager for after hours fuel support. I always stop here from Atlanta to Maryland.

Dropped in today for lunch, but discovered that the Runway Cafe is always closed on Mondays (couldn't find that on the web), and the FBO was closed on Labor Day (?!). Too bad.
