Used when I had a meeting in San Francisco. Problems using the car rentals, however, the FBO ground crew was extremely friendly with maps, water and directions. I have used them twice and have appreciated the facilities and service.

$11 overnight for a single engine piston (Mooney) with a one-time $6 administration fee. Provided quick and free 10 minute shuttle ride to BART station. Perfectly fine experience with them. Everything efficient and professional. Great gateway into the San Fran/Oakland area. Thanks especially for the van to the BART station.

I'd like to echo the positive comments about KaiserAir. I flew to KOAK last week in a Cirrus and received prompt, courteous service that made me feel like I flew a G5. One of the linemen drove us to the BART station and we were in downtown San Francisco in 20 minutes. On the way back, I called KaiserAir when the train exited the tunnel. A van was waiting at the station and my fuel bill was ready when I got to the FBO. On the way out, one of the CSRs stopped me and gave me a T-Shirt! Thanks for a great experience!

Kaiser is the best! They let my Angel Flight passenger stay overnight in their lounge, as she was short on funds. Even drove her to the local Subway for a meal. Great job Kaiser! You have my vote as the best FBO anywhere.

Major kudos to Kaiser Air at KOAK for great customer service. I was traveling with two young children and requested our rental car (Hertz) be on the ramp to make it easier to load up the kids. Not only was the car ready and waiting, the line crew helped load the car. Same great, prompt service on the return. You might spend a few extra dollars here than other Bay-area airports, but the service is definitely worth it.

I've used both Kaiser and Business Jet Center. I'll take Kaiser any day. The facility fee for overnight is beyond reasonable. Everyone at the facility was more than willing to help. Came in Friday, got a ride to BART, after we stopped off at In-n-Out. Picked me up Saturday from BART and took us to get some Starbucks. Ran into a problem with the plane so I had to spend the night. They let me and my passengers rack out in the pilot lounge, which was cool because we saved money on a hotel. One of the better FBO's I've been to. Definitely coming back here. They have great customer service.

Taxied up at 3:50 in the morning and I was greeted immediately by two people at my Cherokee window. My passenger needed a ride to the terminal, and by the time I got out of the airplane the van had arrived and her bags were being unloaded from the back. No charge on the quick turnaround and the coffee was hot! I am looking forward to returning.

I consistently use Kaiser Air as my FBO of choice when at KOAK nearly on a weekly basis. Their staff is friendly helpful and willing to always go the extra mile to add to your enjoyable stay. Kaiser offers free shuttle rides to the hotel or Bart, and even have great crew cars for a quick lunch run. The facility is neat, clean, and a very professional yet friendly atmosphere. If you're lucky you might get a few of those cookies at the counter.

KaiserAir provides one of the best services of any bay area airport. The staff is always friendly and works very hard to exceed our needs. It is most welcome to arrive after normal business hours and find a fully staffed FBO whom immediately provides a superior service.

I taxied up to Kaiser this week, called on Unicom for a quick ride to BART. Their van was at the plane when my prop stopped. Hopped in, out the gate, driver had the paper work with him to fill out en route, so I skipped the usual delays at the counter. Made my appointment in SF. Coming back, I called from BART as it exited the bay tunnel (at Kaiser's suggestion) and the van was waiting at the BART station when I came arrived. Service doesn't get better than this. Bill Carnahan, the Kaiser OAK line service manager, was particularly helpful.

I have flown into Kaiser in everything from a Kitfox to a Citation and they have been friendly, helpful, prompt, and willing to work with me when I have needed special services like a super-fast turnaround. One of the best FBOs around. I don't know many big-airport FBOs that waive ramp fees on a quick turn, even without fuel purchase.

As a follow up to my previous post, a representative of Kaiser Air contacted me. She apologized for any misunderstanding and clarified that quick turns (less than 30 to 45 minutes) are not charged a ramp fee. I thought the courtesy of a follow up was professional and showed concern for even the little guy. The moral of the story is that nothing is cheap in the Bay Area (blame the politicians) - and we should plan accordingly. Kaiser was very convenient and their ramp is secure - probably worth the fee as long as you know about it up front.

Kaiser charged me a $17 fee to park a LightSport aircraft from 10AM to 4PM on a Saturday (today). I had called several weeks prior and was told there was no fee unless parking overnight, so this was either a new policy or a mistake. Facilities are nice, but the ramp fee soured my experience. Will definitely try the other guy or another Bay Area airport next time...

Have always had nothing but great service here both with my airplane and the large fractional I fly for but...$6.18 for self service 100LL is just wrong...I can tank up at Half Moon Bay along the coast for $5.22 a gallon and elsewhere in California for almost a $1.50 a gallon less (see great deals report). Business Jet Center just down the ramp has no self serve but will sell it at $6.00 a gallon (w/. 25c AOPA discount). So much for competition...If you’re headed to San Francisco for a visit you can do much better stopping at another of the many surrounding airports until this FBO (or the Port of Oakland a.K.A landlord) brings their prices into reality.

Flew in to pick up a friend flying in from Longbeach, very friendly service, even brought my friend from Jet Blue Terminal back to Kaiser Air. Definitely made the whole trip worth it, no parking fee for the day and once inside everyone made sure we were ok. Very comfy chairs in pilot's lounge.

I picked up my "new" C-310Q at OAK and stopped by Kaiser's convenient self-serve pumps on my way out. Unfortunately, that wasn't to be my only interaction with this excellent FBO that day. After clearing 27R and with the gear in transit, I heard a sound no 310 owner ever wants to hear - A sharp rending somewhere beneath my feet. I knew what had happened, but tried to lower the gear anyway. Two green lights vs. three. Damn. Over the next three hours Kaiser graciously facilitated my conversation on their frequency with my A&Ps and the former owner. Ultimately our attempts at gear lock failed and with daylight waning, we declared an emergency and the unfortunate checkout instructor and I "landed" on two (props stopped and feathered!). After concluding mid-runway conversations with airport management, the FAA and NTSB, Kaiser dispatched one of their tugs and towed my now bent and broken aircraft back to the shop. In the end, they wouldn't let me pay them for any of it. Now that's service!

Small biz jet that still was going to buy 400 gals of Jet-A. I knew this was not going to be seemless when one pilot tipped the line guys generously when they humped the bags and got the rental car. Then poof! Line guys gone. I got to clean my own airplane out, vacuum, trash, ice, coffee pots - everything. As I closed the door a line guy drives over and asks if he can take my trash. How magnificent! Fuel prices and fees were not that outstanding or outrageous for big-city airport but FBO's sell service. My own opinion was Valley Girls on the counter who couldn't think beyond operating telephone and walkie-talkie switches. Line guys more interested in ogling the counter girls and talking about how their trucks are equipped. What was left was one tired line manager trying to keep this group motivated and moving forward. To top it off, my boss, an avid coffee drinker, went out of his way to say how terrible the coffee tasted. If there's a next time, I'll probably try the other guys.

Stopped into Kaiser this week for a business meeting in SF. They do not come out and direct you to a transient spot, but I'm a little plane and don't really expect/need that kind of service. Staff is very friendly and amenities are nice. Free shuttle ride to the BART. Self serve is right next to parking and is quick and easy. The $17 overnight fee is reasonable for an operation this size. Would definitely stop by again.

I've been making annual summer trips to San Francisco via OAK since 2003. Kaiser doesn't seem to offer red carpet service to smaller planes, be prepared to park yourself and deal with your own baggage. However, they do offer a great transient parking area equipped with lots of space and tie down chains, a convenient self serve pump adjacent to the parking, excellent planning facilities, and a free ride to and from the BART station. In my experience, they will also happily help you with hotel bookings if needed. From my point of view, those are the key things I need and the convenience of the facility is worth the small overnight fee. Controllers are really pro and will hold your hand without attitude if you are unfamiliar with local procedures.

Arrived late, around 10 p.M. to find no taxi director. Not a major worry as the parking area is adjacent to the FBO building, and I thought maybe they were just short-staffed. Nope: the two guys inside the building were sitting at the desk in their line gear, talking about a soccer match. They waited patiently for me to find a place, park, tie down, unload, and schlep my stuff into the building, and then appeared surprised that somebody might show up in an airplane at such an hour. They did call a cab for me, but then I had to go and find them to get them to open the gate once the taxi arrived to take me into the city. Well below average in my experience, but I can't say it's any worse than San Jose (extremely expensive), Half Moon Bay (remote and no facilities) or Hayward (remote and really bad service). At least it's close to the city, and their fuel prices are okay given the size of the market.

Flew my C-310 in from L.A. Area. Very convenient approach and Kaiser was located straight across when taxing off the runway. They guided me in directly in front of the terminal and then shuttled my crew and me to the BART station. When returning, we phoned when exiting the transbay tube on the east side and they were waiting for us when we got off the BART station. Fuel is higher than a no-perk FBO, but for service like this, it was actually quite reasonable.

Flew in 172 over the weekend, no one out front to direct and yes fuel is a pricey and ramp fee not waived for fuel. Honestly though, the convenience is unbeatable for SF. Staff was friendly. Flying into OAK saves so much time versus other nearby airports. I will return.

What a great experience! Flew in our Archer and was treated as if we were refueling a Gulfstream. Was given crew car to use for few hours to visit my son at UC Berkeley. Extremely nice people, very pleasant FBO. Excellent fuel prices. Absolutely the place to stop in Bay Area. Quicker from here to downtown San Francisco than SFO and no fees.

Stopped at KaiserAir to pick up an AngelFlight passenger on our way to Santa Monica. Weather delayed our flight, but a very quick fueling thanks to KaiserAir helped make up the time. They offered a substantial discount for AngelFlight.

Used the FBO for an evening event on Saturday 12-9-06. Intended to depart @2300, but low freezing level, lots of obscures, and high terrain to cross on route home (VNY) made a delay a prudent thing. Found the staff very accommodating and pleasant. (I drive an Arrow). There is a good Wx screen, hi-speed Internet station, very nice pilot lounge, and even a sleep room. This is the second time the Wx has grounded me at this FBO, and both times the staff has been great.
