From Walter Roberts on 19-Jul-2010

Pump advertised $4.09/gallon but would not authorize 3 different cc. older pump listing Mogas did not work. Other pump 100LL listed price $4.25 and gave no receipt was charged 4.65/gallon. Coke machine out of order. Apparently not much is working here. Not high on my lists as an alternate.

Response from Stephen Witt, J. Douglas Bake Memorial Airport Commissioner
I apologize for your experience in July at KOCQ. Yes, the pump showed $4.25. The correct price was posted on the exterior of the pump and also displayed in a large area on the erasable board immediately inside the terminal building. The engineer that was responsible for our new project unfortunately had very serious medical conditions starting in May and finally passed away just a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately it was a "one man" firm and that left the project on "autopilot." The installation firm should have had the pumps clearly barricaded and marked as inoperative. This whole project should have been completed by late June, yet didn't become operational until August 6. Nobody has been more frustrated and dissatisfied than you accept us. Again I apologize for your inconvenience.
