Despite being in a small experimental I still got great service again from Northeast. Free night's parking with fill up. I'll be back.

Northeast Air did a great job taking care of us over the Memorial Day weekend. All the staff was helpful and friendly. Reasonable prices. We had transponder trouble and requested assistance from their avionics partner. They spliced two wires back together and didn't charge us anything for their time! Great job folks.

We used Northeast yesterday for an Angel Flight pick up. NE gave us great service and they were kind enough to forward my messages to our passengers. Nice folks and great service, looking forward to returning later in the month during our vacation.

Had a great experience at Northeast, first picking up a passenger on a quickturn, they gave her the royal treatment and got us in and out with no hassle or fees. Returned later that night and greeted with friendly line crew, extremely attentive to what’s going on and overnight fee very reasonable. Great experience at a small "Big" airport!

I have been to Northeast in the past and was surprised by the negative comments I see. I stopped in again today for a quick visit to Bowdoin and was very pleased with the service. A friendly line person greeted me. He offered a crew car, but I explained I'd be most of the afternoon. They had my rental car waiting for me and the service was quick, courteous and professional.

Arrived 2/1/09 for an Angel Flight. Cold (10F) icy day. Line crew STANK! Parked me on a sheet of ice when 15 ft sooner would have me on clear pavement. Couldn’t start the 100LL truck and didn't seem to care; just pointed to a silo-looking structure behind a mountain of snow and told me to use the self serve "over there". Self serve ramp covered in ice with the mountain of snow right next to the pump precluding getting too close as there'd be no way to push back on that sheet of ice when finished. Therefore, I had to pull an inordinate amount of hose and grounding cable to reach the aircraft all the while slipping and sliding on the ice sheet. Ladder was iced into the hardpack and had to be rocked free. Got the aircraft fueled while wondering why no assistance from line in these conditions. Oh yeah, they were in the FBO staying warm. I guess that's why they couldn't sand the self-serve ramp either. Northern airports are supposed to know how to handle winter. Send these Bozos South!

Visited Northeast for a quick gas and go Jan. 22nd, and although the service from staff was very good, fuel price is the highest on the east coast. Four hours earlier at Taylor Aviation in Elizabethtown, NC, we bought fuel at $3.10/gal. Vs. $5.25 at Northeast!!

Response from Dexter Tatum, Line Manager, Northeast Air
In response to David McKenna’s message about our Avgas pricing over the past weekend, I don't know where you are getting your pricing info. We do a call around every week to make sure that we are not the most expensive. Also, there is an option at our facility to use self-serve Avgas that is discounted .50 per gallon at the pump. Feel free to contact me at anytime should you have more questions.

I had a mediocre experience with Northeast a few weeks ago. Felt like a place that has no competition (which they don't). They forgot one of my service requests, then when I called to check they tried to make excuses. They are friendly enough, but they know you have no other choice at KPWM and they act that way.

Response from Dexter Tatum, Line Manager, Northeast Air
Robert, my name is Dexter Tatum and I am the Line Manager here at Northeast Air. I was not aware of the situation you encountered here on your visit. I would appreciate it very much if I could have the chance to talk to you personally to find out what caused this sub par service you feel was supplied to you. In turn, it would also give me a chance to make sure that no one else feels the same way when they come here.

We stopped with our 900 Turbo Commander last night with snowstorm going on. Great service and friendly, efficient staffing. Line guys really jumped in and got us fueled and gone, as we wanted.

I frequent Northeast Airmotive often with our twin piston charter aircraft. The line crew are very experienced, and generally very courteous and professional ditto on the front desk staff. A crew car is usually available too, unless both of the cars they keep on hand are out already. Because of the location and vacation draw of they are it can be very busy at times, particularly in the summer. Calling ahead by radio to let them know you are inbound will enable them to give you the best service since they can't always monitor for inbound aircraft. Fuel prices tend to be high, but you can save 50 cents/gallon by going to the self serve pumps. All in all a very professional and safe FBO, I recommend them!

From Alan Penzias on 25-Oct-2008
The best FBO in Maine. Northeast Air line and customer service personnel are always prompt, courteous and helpful. The maintenance shop is extremely well run and I always feel that I am getting exceptional quality maintenance at a reasonable price.

From Jean-Francois Reat on 27-Jul-2008
I left my C182 here for a week while on Peak's Island. Despite their ramp being jammed with bizjets (I was told it was "Camp Week"), service was prompt and courteous. Waiting room, pilot lounge, and other facilities were fine but crowded. $15 ramp fee was waived for fuel purchase; $10/night parking was not.

From William Judge on 21-Apr-2008
Theses guys took great care of me despite the fact I was in a homely unpainted homebuilt plane that doesn't use much gas. I spent 2 nights and didn't get charged for parking either. Highly recommend these guys.

From Henry Hallam on 10-Mar-2008
Dropped in for lunch today (at the excellent Duck Fat restaurant in town). We were only there for a couple of hours, and Northeast didn't charge for landing or parking (PA28). They even let us use a crew car. Very positive experience and I'll be visiting again.

From David McKenna on 05-Feb-2008
Dropped in for a quick gas and go on Jan. 27th. Avgas truck was U/S so the guys met me at self-serve and topped off. Great service on a cold night. F/S 100LL $5.50/gal. And S/S $5.00. FBO is top notch.

From Mike Alper on 13-Dec-2007
Northeast Air is one of the best maintenance facilities that I have worked with in my 25 years of aircraft ownership. I have owned piston and turbine airplanes and have always found NE Air to be highly competent and extremely honest. Dan and Will are simply the best mechanics out there. I trust them.

From David Blakney on 08-Nov-2007
Portland is a fantastic stop (and home!). Northeast Air does provide a good value for the dollar when one considers the quality of the service and the convenience of flying into Portland. Front Desk is great and the fueling efficient. Recommend.

From Frank Dohl on 23-Oct-2007
Flew in over the weekend in my Skylane and was treated like a real airplane. All fees waived (incl. Overnight parking) with top-off (she took 28 gals. @ 5.30/gal, as advertised), which I consider a fair enough deal given that this is a Class C airport with all the associated amenities. Flight Planning Room has Internet, so I booked a car on Hotwire on arrival and walked over to the rental car counters in the parking garage. Efficient, friendly, and professional location, hard to beat to explore Portland.

From David Blakney on 14-Oct-2007
Fuel prices outrageous. Shop around.

From Alex Firescu on 21-Aug-2007
We flew in Sunday for lobster. The ramp is busier than your average FBO, but the ramp personal handles it very efficient and professional. They took my fuel order and fueled the plane quickly. The girls at the front desk looked happy to have us, although there is a constant mix of jets, turboprops and piston drivers and their passengers passing by the front desk. They arranged for a taxi into town ($16.00). Briefing room has WSI computer and telephone, printer, Internet, etc. The controllers are very friendly and helpful. Clearance and release came quickly, as filled (rare in Northeast). There is no ramp, parking, or landing fee, at least for single piston (Piper Arrow). Fuel was $4.87 for avgas. I would definitely visit back

From Wayne Smith on 16-Aug-2007
Stopped in after Customs. Ramp was very full, and lots of activity. Nobody seemed to have time to marshal us (we were in a Mooney). Desk workers were helpful but busy. The crew car was high quality, though, and Quizno's was close.

From Raphael Crawford on 22-Jul-2007
Flew into Portland in our Saratoga recently. The approach and tower controllers are very friendly, and the Northeast Airmotive staff is great (very kind to GA and jet traffic alike). The line staff was very gentle with our plane - they themselves realized that their tow vehicle would damage our nose wheel pant, and pushed it by hand. The desk staff called us a cheap limo ride ($35) to Dimillo's (a great lobster/seafood place on the water -- usually a wait). Overall great experience.

From Bryan Weber on 13-May-2007
If you need to use Northeast Airmotive for any service, I suggest you check everything yourself and are present during fueling and tiedown. I expect more professional service than what I've seen there. Just do it yourself and be sure (and safe).

From David Blakney on 17-Dec-2006
Update: Northeast Airmotive has recently reduced the price of 100LL to $4.00 for self-service fuel. Thank you.
