In there three times over the Oct 28 weekend. Rich was better than excellent each time. Fuel prices are good as well. Great experience.

Amazing FBO, wow! First time I've ever been greeted by a grand piano. Fireplace, comfy chairs, decent choice of snacks, and good fuel prices. Well worth a stop.

After landing for fuel, discovered a flat tire and had to call the after hours emergency number. Craig came right out and ended up calling in the airport manager, Rich, from vacation. They were extraordinarily helpful and did everything possible to take care of the plane as well as my traveling companions and me. Also met Gary there who could not have been more hospitable. This airport and the people there are what general aviation is all about. Exemplary airport and extraordinary people.

I have stopped at Merrill Airport numerous times over the past years and it is always enjoyable to make a visit here. Calling inbound on the Unicom, you will most often be greeted by a friendly welcome followed by the field weather and conditions. There is accessible self serve fuel, flight planning computers, and a great pilot lounge/FBO. But what makes it such a fun place are the nice local pilots who are there. Be sure to say hi to Gary, Steve and the airport manager who, among others, take great pride in making this a first class, welcoming airport.

I visited this airport for a cross country during training. They have a new visitor facility that is just opening. Chatted for a bit and had a coke before heading back. Nice place in a beautiful area.
