Stopped off to refuel on the way to Florida and found the cheapest fuel prices. Filled my Citabria with the self-service Mogas that was cheaper than what I pay at gas stations! Excellent and friendly.

We stopped in on our return from FFA for some fuel and food but we were a little late for the food in the terminal, they close at 2:00 during the week. Kent, the airport manager, offered to drive us into town drop us off and bring us back which was a great help and the food was pretty good too (the Red Apple, really good sweet tea). Fueled up for 3.28/gal exactly as advertised, overall a great stop.

Great stop when in need of fuel or when you need to stretch your legs. Excellent airport for GA and wish others would model after it. N1306G says thanks again!

Dropped in for a quick gas n go returning from the south. As usual, about the best gas price on the east coast...THANKS for helping to keep flying 'affordable'. Unfortunately, restaurant is closed on Mondays. We'll be back. Seneca C-FJMM

Stopped for fuel and lunch. The fuel is unbelievably cheap by standards north and south, and the Throttleback Cafe was a pleasure, a casual sandwich place. Perfect for an en route rest stop. Lots of traffic and flight training going on in the pattern on this Sunday. Don't forget right traffic for 4 and 25

You'd be crazy not to use this place as a fuel stop traveling up north. It’s STILL the place I stop every time I travel from RDU to ACY. Fuel prices, on average, simply cant be beat.

We stopped in for fuel and to eat lunch on our way from Florida to Boston. What a great airport! The restaurant has very friendly people and good food. The fuel was the best price we saw on our trip, including our home airport! The whole airport has a "hometown" feel to it. We will definitely stop here again.

Flew in for the 2008 Festival of Flight. Great airport! Arrived late-- after closing-- on Friday, but the airport manager came back out to let us in to get our rental car key. Very friendly! Also- great fuel prices. We're looking forward to stopping in again soon.

Flew in for the EAA fly-in had a great time. The airport restaurant has the best chicken salad I ever ate! The folks were very friendly and the FBO was clean and well kept. A very good stop if you are in the area!!

Stopped into SFQ for fuel while en route to Charleston, SC on 3/17/2008 in a twin piston. Fueled up at $3.99 and had a delicious cheeseburger with fries to go from the restaurant on the field. Nice airport, great food and great fuel stop! I will be back when headed south again!

Cheapest gas around!! Great little restaurant right at the airport... The fella working the desk says the city owns the FBO, and always keeps the gas prices low.

This place remains a great stop for fuel flying along the coast. 24-hour pump is well lit and the prices are hard to beat.

The guaranteed price was listed is listed as $3.78. I planned a stop there but the price at the pump was $3.93! I tried to update it but it required a locally authorized user to update the price.

SS Fuel as advertised at $3.53--very reasonable considering other locations in the Tidewater area, which are a $1.00 higher. Great food at the ThrottleBack Cafe with ample parking on the ramp.

Stopped here going to Florida from the northeast. Nice airport for a quick stop. Self serve worked fine and the price was as advertised, and the Throttleback Cafe provided quick basic food.
