Flew into SLR on Good Friday. Excellent service. I called before we flew in and talked with Joey Butler about getting a hangar to put the plane. He called me back several times to provide me status on his progress - he was going to be gone when we arrived over the holiday. However, when we arrived Stanley met us when we landed and went the extra mile to ensure that our experience was positive. I will recommend this airport to anyone and will return. The city of Sulphur Springs should be proud of having such great ambassadors representing their city.

Stopped in for a quick fuel stop. Self serve pump would not work with credit card, so I taxied down to the FBO. Received quick, quality service from everyone I met. It's also quite cool to see Cubs all around the area. The only bone I have to pick, of course with no relation to the FBO, is the runway and taxiway surfaces could definetly use some maintenance.

Stopped into Sulphur Springs on a long cross country in my PA-12. Got shortstopped by weather. Joey Baker, airport manager, rolled out the red carpet and put every service of the airport at my disposal. Mr. Baker was also kind enough to put my plane inside for the night. Can't say enough about all the folks at Sulphur Springs. It's a diamond in the rough. Many thanks and hope to be back again.

Nice little airport with very friendly airport bums. I highly recommend checking out the LSA cub factory it alone is worth the stop.

Made an unplanned fuel stop after dark. Self-Serve pump was well marked with a bright light, and worked great. Nice place for a quick gas and go.

Thanks to airport manager Joey Baker, staff and the City of Sulphur Springs for once again hosting the Angel Flight/FAA WINGS Safety fly-in on March 18th, 2006. We were there for our fly-in Spring 2004 and were treated wonderfully. Again received outstanding hospitality and service in a super facility with great a fuel price. Look forward to the next stop-in at a top notch operation. Bravo !
