This story begins in the early sixties. My Dad was a salesman for industrial equipment. Part of his territory was McAllen. Once or twice a year my Dad would take the family and to stay at the Fairway Motel in McAllen. We would go to Reynosa for dinner. On the way we would pass by McCreery Aviation. They always had the latest model Cessna on display for the car traffic passing by. I was in awe. This airplane display is in large why I became a pilot! I started taking flying lesson at 13. I soloed on my 16th birthday and took my checkride on my 17th birthday. I am now a volunteer Angel Flight Pilot. Last week 1/6/26 I flew to McAllen and went to McCreery to pick up a cancer patient. It was the first time I had ever been to McCreery Aviation, it was a walk down Memory Lane. I shared my story with Bob McCreery and his employees. I told Bob how grateful I was for McCreery Aviation for having a Cessna display to inspire me to become a pilot. Thanks, Bob and McCreery Aviation!

We had a 12 airplane group stopping at KMFE before launching in Mexico. McCreery provided outstanding service, fueling, oxygen top off on weekend, staff, it was all great. We will not hesitate to come back again.
